I stand at the door to my new room in this strange new place. The brass doorknob shimmers and feels smooth like silk, and the door itself is a rich, mahogany wood. Wow, the wealth of this place shows even in the doors, I think to myself. I can only imagine what will be inside.
I twist the silky doorknob to reveal my new bedroom. As I flick on the lights, the room illuminates, and what I see is beyond my wildest dreams. A rich crimson paint covers the four walls, and the plush carpet feels luxurious on my feet.
I quickly shut off the lights, not wanting to experience anything else. I feel my way to the giant

Without colour, the world around us would be a dull place. Colour is everywhere, and plays an important role our lives. We pick flowers because we like their colours, we paint our houses in colours we like. With the Word Cup going on, soccer fans from all over the world dress in their national colours. Colour can raise you up, can soothe and relax you or maybe just make you see a normal object in a different way.
As artists, we know that choosing the right colour can make or break art. Colour also sets the tone and atmosphere, sometimes conveying a strong message to the viewer.
